“Get that Oxygen Off Your Wine”

Please, pull up your chair and let’s have an honest and frank talk about saving your wine. First, quit buying filtered wines with screw tops; the only one that benefits with screw top wines are the factory wineries. The factory wineries have a singular goal; to take your money and do it over and over and over again. Their screw tops help them achieve that goal. When you buy one of those inferior wines, take it home, pour your glass of wine and then screw the screw top back onto the bottle, you are forcing ‘oxygen’ against your wine. Just as oxygen causes iron to rust, it causes your wine to go bad quickly, usually within a couple of days. Another bad idea promoted by the factory wineries is ‘aerator’s’. The result is the same as the screw tops, except that you are actively and aggressively forcing oxygen into your wine.

So, what should be your objective? Your objective should be to extend the life of your wine as long as possible. It’s easy to do that, just remove the oxygen from your wine. Bunker Hill Vineyard & Winery sells two of the best wine pumps in the market. With just a few easy pumps from our ‘Vinovac’ or our ‘Vacuvin’ you can extend the current delicious taste of your favorite BHV wine to, at least, thirty days. The next time that you visit BHV, we would be happy to demonstrate both wine pumps.

So, until next time, Salute & Happy Days from the Green Winer!
